Frequently Asked Questions

Is there any required experience or background knowledge that online language lessons learners should have before enrolling?

Adults already have the skills they need to succeed. Children ages 4-7 need to be able to watch and listen consistently. Parents or another adult should readily be available and nearby to redirect as needed. No background knowledge is required, but a basic ability to pay attention and follow directions is necessary.

How many students can I enroll?

You can enroll up to two adults or two children per household computer screen. This is to ensure class participation and engagement are kept effective and enjoyable for all students.

I am not familiar with how to use Zoom. Do I need an account? How do I log in to class?

You will receive email reminders about class the day before with log in information. You do not need to be registered with Zoom to enter into the online classroom space with the link, Meeting ID, and passcode provided. For more information on logging into Zoom, click here: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/4423182002317-Joining-a-Zoom-meeting-without-an-account

What happens if class gets cancelled?

If, for whatever reason, an online class session is cancelled, the teacher will make every effort to reschedule the course. If the course is unable to be rescheduled within a timely manner, you will be refunded (to your original payment method used) $10 per cancelled class within four weeks of the date cancelled.

What happens if I or my child(ren) cannot attend class?

No refunds are given for missing a class that is held. However, recordings of classes will be provided after the fact. These recordings will be available 90 days thereafter.

What are "LLTT Packets" and how do they work for at-home review?

A Linking Language | Telling Tales "LLTT Packet" (part self or parent led review, part workbook for the adult or child student) will be provided via PDF to the adult student or parent via email at the beginning of each week of class. This packet is rich with links to online videos, books to buy or borrow at your library, pictures to color with vocabulary review, and a short primer for the parent. LLTT believes strongly in empowering learners to take what they learned in online lessons and integrating it in their everyday lives at home and beyond.

What do I need to do to prepare for online classes?

If any preparation is required for a class you will receive an email ahead of time. The only preparation may be finding something for show and tell or bringing occasional supplies (such as paper and something to color with).

Do you give any discounts on class?

The only discount provided is LL|TT's referral program (10% off for your and the party you're referring to register). To receive the discount code, email your name and your referring person's name to jeanette@linkinglanguage.com.
